The Con-Vee Unit (short for Convertible Unit) was first chartered in 1973 with 6 members:
Cecil Rogers, P.P., Captain

Mike Marks, P.P.
Guy Holcomb, P.P.
Originally, the cars were 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles, and each member bought a new one every year until Cadillac stopped making them in 1976. The Unit now has fifteen 1976 White Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles in the unit.
The Unit's primary purpose is to support Shrinedom and Maskat Shrine Center by appearing in parades, homecomings, rodeos, and other activities at the request of the Potentate. We annually participate in several parades in the surrounding area including the annual Texas Shrine Association Convention and Maskat Shrine Oil Bowl parades in which we provide transportation for various dignitaries.
